Gate Bridge

Woke up early on Sunday in S.F. ready for the day! Actually it was more along the lines of wishing for 8 more hours of sleep but what can ya do. My gracious hosts Rey and Kelley made me some breakfast. Some fruit some eggs, then we were on the road to check out what San Fran has to offer. Started out at the golden gate, and I must admit it was neither golden nor gate-ish. It WAS massive and beautiful. Its crazy to think something that massive and intricate was made by man. Then onto Lombard street “the most crooked street” and it did not disappoint it was defintely crooked! Great view of the city as well. Then onto Haight and Ashbury, where i got a great story of the hippy movement and conveniently there was a Ben and Jerry’s right there…what a coincidence! Said goodbye to my hosts in San Fran and was on the road to Portland…a 10 and a half hour drive.

Im gonna be honest with you guys. The drive up the 5 from S.F. to Portland is probably one of the most tedious things I have done in awhile. The trees are beautiful. The winding roads through the mountains beautiful as well. HOWEVER, after the first few hours it gets kinda old. Managed to get to Portland in about 9 hours (I wasn’t speeding i swear :) ) and met up with my Host in Portland J.P. went to a karaoke bar right away. Layed some sexual healing on the inflatable penis having bachelorette party in the front and then it was bed time. Here is the photoset from the trip

I can honestly say i haven’t been this tired in awhile. This adventure has been amazing though and i can’t wait to see what else will happen.

If you could travel anywhere by car like I am where would you go?

P.S. R.I.P all the bugs i killed along the way via my windshield

HELLO LOVERS! Day two began with my trip from San Diego to San Francisco. My first stop was in L.A. where I met up with fellow Ford Fiesta agent Brigitte Dale where she acted as my tour guide. Went to the Hollywood sign,Griffith Observatory, and the Chinese theater….then back to my place cause I had to pee..too much info? Spent a little too much time in LA so i had to skip Solvang and burn it straight to San Fran. so i could spent more time with my dad.

Seeing my Dad and grandma and aunt and uncle was really good as I am a very family oriented guy. Here is a picture of My dad and i doing our “cute” pose which is said to weaken even the coldest of hearts. What do you think?

I am now on to day 3 and i am very excited to get a sourdough breadbowl and do some touristy stuff before I head up to Portland Next. Click here if you want to see pictures from my Day 2 Adventures.

OH! As for my social experiement of listening to top 40 the whole way and keeping tally of the songs. I dont have my list on me currently but i will tell you I heard BOOM BOOM POW by Black eyed Peas about 7 times!! UGH….no Fergie YOU are 2000 and late. Stay tuned for more adventure!

Got up this morning around 8a.m. to the joyous sounds of a married couple screaming about god knows what. OH THE JOYS of marriage! I packed for about 4 hrs only 15 minutes of that bein clothes. The rest of the time was spent  finding the various chargers for my electronics.

Got to San Diego around 3:30pm and met up with my friend Tony. Went to the park, rode a roller coaster, ate, and watched the sunset. Overall a very fun day got to see a lot of great things! Tomorrow is the trip north to San Francisco where i will get to see my Dad! Here is the photo set from today

One of the experiments im doing is i am going to listen to top 40 stations the whole way (tortuous i know) and keep a tally on how many times i hear a song. The list after day one goes as follows.

  1. “My life would suck without you” by Kelly Clarkson- 3 times
  2. “Halo” by Beyonce- 3 times
  3. “Day and night” by Kudi – 3 times
  4. “Pokerface” by Lady Gaga – 2 times
  5. “Heatless” by Kanye West – 2 times

Who do you think will win by the end? STAY TUNED!

This past week was definitely one of the most random/fun weeks i have ever had! I am not sure if you guys had heard but my roommate decided we weren’t “compatible” and that I had to move out….awesome. So, I found a new place and I am back to living on my own! I needed some help so i called in the Cavalry (insert fanfare and horse noises)! I was luck to have my buddy with a truck Jason and Fiesta Agent Brigitte Dale brought her fiesta to help as well click on the picture for that photo album.
